History

In the high mountains of Mérida, where cold winds embrace the slopes and the fog paints fairytale landscapes, the project of a new generation of coffee growers is born: Finca Santa Anita, led by Shaddy Ramírez.

Far from being an inherited farm, Santa Anita is the result of a courageous decision to invest in coffee in a country where doing so requires vision, perseverance, and a deep love for the land. Shaddy represents a new wave of Venezuelan producers committed to quality, traceability, and a positive impact on their environment.

They grow varieties like Monteclaro at over 1,750 meters above sea level, under natural shade and with careful practices from planting to drying. Each cherry is hand-selected, and the fermentation and washing process is carried out with precision, then slowly sun-dried on raised patios.

But beyond the technical aspects, Santa Anita is a symbol of rural renewal: a place where young people stay, where specialty coffee is championed as a path to generating opportunities in the Andean regions.
