History

The owner of Hacienda Senhor Niquino is called Luiz Paulo, he has a degree in Business Administration from the "Facultad de Santa Marta" in San Lorenzo, and has been in the banking and financial sector for years. In 2004, after the death of his grandfather, Luiz decided to change his life and return to his place of origin to take over the family business.

Luiz Paulo soon realises that the region has a unique identity, a set of specific attributes that give the local coffee distinct flavours, placing it among the best in the world. The name of the Fazenda, "Senhor Niquino", was given in honour of his grandfather, Niquino being in fact his nickname. The coffees grown at the Fazenda Senhor Niquino are processed at the Irmas Pereira farm, both because of the close proximity of the two farms and because the coffee processing capacity of the Pereira farm is superior. The synergy is ascendant and makes the two companies accomplices, cousins and capable of making an incredible agricultural product.

With an average annual rainfall of between 1250 and 1400 mm, Senhor Niquino has native forests, woodlands and water sources, in perfect balance. For the future of the company Luiz Paulo says: "We must have the responsibility to produce quality in a consistent manner and protect the environment as well as the society in which we live."

Senhor Niquino is a classic yet elegant coffee, with good acidity and notes of chocolate, tonka bean, hazelnut and liquorice. Perfect for the first morning or after lunch, great cleansing on the palate and very long finish. The epitome of what a great Brazilian coffee should be.
